Unique in the world, This workshop, a surface of 6 000 m², is intended to reproduce an atmosphere of forest fire in a real scale to create real operational situations.

It includes:

• a forest area,
• a jump of fire area,
• a lookout tower in which is located the position of command and control,
• a video surveillance system,
• a sound system for simulating air assets overview,
• a vehicles test area (AMSEC protection equipment).

A specially dedicated area allows the realization of the necessary maneuvers in search of victims following a collapse :

• establishment of camp,
• detection and location of victims exercises,
• maneuver of force, tunnelling and shoring,
• Canine team training.

This tool relies on new technologies to offer virtual exercises intended to immerse the trainee in a close configuration of reality.

It is especially used for learning the methods of fight against the forest fire (FDF2 and training maintaining and development of the acquis FDF3, FDF4 & FDF5)
